On April 27, 2019 the Sheboygan Falls Kiwanis Club, the Greater Sheboygan Kiwanis Club, and the Sheboygan Falls YMCA will host their annual 5K Fun Run/Walk for Autism. The Youth Fun Run starts at 8:30am, and the main event starts at 9am at River Park in Sheboygan Falls.

“It’s a great cause and a lot of fun,” said Sheboygan Falls Kiwanis Club’s Lynn Messer. “The 501st Legion has been with us for a few years now, and those attending enjoy getting their photo with them.” The 501st Legion, a.k.a. Vader’s Fist, is a group that dresses in film-quality costumes as Star Wars villains and show up to events to help promote worthwhile causes, and will take part in this event, congratulating racers at the end of the race.

There is still time to sign up for this event and support those in our community with Autism. Sponsored participants gather pledges that support the Wisconsin Upper Michigan Kiwanis Autism Project, whose goal is to provide iPads and funding for children with autism of families in need – and will specifically benefit children with autism in Sheboygan County. The person who raises the greatest amount of pledges for this event will be awarded a prize of a weekend at Christmas Mountain Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
